PowerINSPECT inspection software on ROMER Absolute Arms
Portable measuring arms allow you to take measurements directly in the manufacturing environment, where process improvements are most beneficial. Portable measuring equipment offered by Hexagon Metrology for industrial metrology applications in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, energy and medical is often partnered with PowerINSPECT, the world’s leading hardware-independent inspection software. PowerINSPECT is ideally suited to these applications and offers quick measurement results wherever inspection is required.
Guided measurement allows PowerINSPECT to ‘guide’ the user when measuring. It includes guided points and section inspection with both visual and audio aids to help generate data acquisition. This facilitates more consistent and repeatable measurements. Furthermore, in-process inspection allows quality personnel to develop inspection routines whilst production staff can measure them. The user management system ensures that production staff cannot then amend the inspection routines set by quality personnel.
Comprehensive device integration allows the user to confirm and cancel measurements using the arm buttons. This minimises the need to use the mouse and keyboard during the measurement process, saving time and making the measurement process more comfortable.
Immediate Feedback |
Immediate feedback gives results with every probed point, minimising the time to identify any problems |
 |
Audio feedback |
Audio feedback helps to guide the user through the measuring process, even when measuring in hard-to-reach areas where it is difficult to see the screen |
Guided measurement |
Guided measurement delivers more consistent reporting of inspection routines |
 |
Easy-to-read measurement reports |
Produce comprehensive easy-to-read measurement reports, with or without CAD |
Export to CAD |
Measured geometry and curves can be exported to CAD, providing basic reverse engineering functionality |
 |
In-process inspection |
In-process inspection reduces time, wastage and money |
Laser Scanning |
Powerful, easy-to-use functionality in PowerINSPECT makes it simple to inspect complex free form parts when laser scanning |
 |
PowerINSPECT Part Aligner
PowerINSPECT Part Aligner dramatically reduces set-up time and costs by using measurement data to recalculate the machining datum. Measure the part with the arm, and use PowerINSPECT’s alignment functionality to update the work offset, so that you can machine the part on the machine in the position where you have measured it.
