Delcam India organises update meeting for PowerMILL users in Pune

More than 200 users attended Delcam India’s PowerMILL update event in Pune

Delcam India recently held its latest update training session for customers in Pune using the PowerMILL CAM software for high-speed and five-axis machining.  New features in the 2013 PowerMILL release were demonstrated live to an audience of over 200 PowerMILL users from the city, the highest attendance ever for the annual event.

New features and improvements to existing strategies were demonstrated to the delegates, with time and benefit comparisons to the previous versions.  The ability to record edits to a toolpath was well appreciated by the customers, especially those who like to exercise a stronger control over complex toolpaths and would like to refer to this information before posting NC programs.

The introduction of "private boundaries” that allow greater parameterisation to a given toolpath also received the thumbs-up from the delegates.  In addition to these developments, smoothness improvements to a variety of finishing toolpaths were also demonstrated.

Alongside the updates in PowerMILL 2013, valuable presentations including Tips & Tricks in PowerMILL, Robot Machining and Automated Clay Machining for Automotive Styling were delivered by Delcam Experts.

The half-day formal event was followed by a lunch which provided the delegates and Delcam’s engineers a much needed opportunity to have informal talks with each other and to share current experiences on best practices and methods in the CAM industry.

Commenting on the event, Mr. Vineet Seth, Managing Director for Delcam India and Middle East, said "I am very happy to see that the Pune user meeting has grown steadily since we first started it.  Delcam’s exposure to a wide range of businesses by virtue of our diverse product offering enables us to arm our customers with cross-industry process knowledge which is very vital in today’s competitive world.  Events such as this recent user meeting allow us to pass on this knowledge to our customers, alongside new developments and improvements to our software.  It is very encouraging to see that so many of our customers attend our user meetings with such enthusiasm and we are thankful to them for contributing to the success of the event.”
