Delcam’s latest CADCAM technology on show at MAKTEK

Improvements to the turning options in FeatureCAM will be demonstrated at MAKTEK

Delcam Turkey will celebrate its second anniversary in October by demonstrating the latest CADCAM technology from Delcam at the MAKTEK exhibition to be held in Istanbul from the 14th to 19th of the month.  Each of the new software programs contains major enhancements that will help manufacturing companies to increase productivity, improve quality and reduce lead times.

The main enhancement in the 2015 release of the PowerSHAPE Pro design and reverse engineering software is to the Smart Feature Selector.  This option allows multiple similar features to be found and selected using either a specific value or a range of values.  Once the particular group has been selected, all the features within it can be edited simultaneously.  For example, all holes having a diameter of 5mm can have their diameter increased to 10mm in one operation.

The 2015 release of PowerMILL, Delcam’s programming system for high-speed and five-axis machining, includes improvements to the Vortex high-efficiency area-clearance strategy, expanded collision checking to also cover near misses, and more efficient raster finishing.

In its 2015 release, FeatureCAM, the world’s first feature-based programming software when it was launched in 1995, includes a range of enhancements in three-axis milling, two-axis and five-axis drilling, turning and turn-mill, and wire EDM to make the software even more powerful and easier to use, especially when programming of families of parts.

Major highlights of PartMaker 2015, Delcam’s software for the programming of turn-mill equipment, Swiss-type lathes and bar-fed mills, include improved support for today’s latest breed of multi-tasking machine tools, more powerful milling and turning functionality, and a unique approach to post-processing for multi-axis turn-mill centres and Swiss-type lathes, among other productivity enhancements.

The PowerINSPECT inspection software now features a new interface with new icons that make the software more intuitive and even easier to use.  Other enhancements in this version include the ability to create compound items and so speed up and simplify repetitive measurements, enhancements to the measurement dialogs and a further increase in the range of geometric features that can be inspected.
