Delcam expands North American support team
Delcam is pleased to announce a further expansion of its North American support resources with the addition of Cory Medina to the post-sales support team in Salt Lake City. The appointment follows a record year for Delcam in North America in 2012, with sales up by more than 25% over 2011, and further growth expected this year.
Cory began his career in 2004 as an apprentice machinist with Petersen Inc., a leading Utah manufacturer offering machining and fabrication services to the nuclear, petrochemical, aerospace and mining industries. His apprenticeship included training in the programming and operation of 3- and 4-axis mills and a variety of lathes. On completing his training, Cory spent over two years at Petersen as a journeyman machinist, before moving to Northrop Grumman, one of the largest defence contractors in the USA.
At Northrop Grumman, Cory worked as an experimental machinist, designing and manufacturing prototype parts and fixtures. While there, he gained experience in five-axis machining as well as extending his knowledge of machining with a greater variety of mills and lathes.
Commenting on the latest appointment, Jeremy Malan, Application Support Manager at Delcam North America, said, "With the dramatic growth in sales we have experienced in North America, we needed to add more people in order to continue to provide our customers with the high-quality support they have come to expect. I am confident that Cory will be an important addition to our support team given his wide experience in programming and using an extensive range of machine tools.”
