Cranfield University video of the Rawfeed rolling assisted wire-and-arc additive manufacturing process for producing titanium critical structural components for aerospace applications. Wire-fed welding torch lays down bead of titanium, which is then cold-rolled to refine the grain structure and improve the mechanical propertes of the material. Airbus Group leads the Rawfeed project with Cranfield, Delcam and the University of Bath.
